Vanessa Blanchard Lee is a proud member of the Local 706 IATSE Union/ Hollywood Make-up Artists and Hairstylist Guild, NATAS, and BAFTA in the UK.  Vanessa is a regular make-up artist with  San Francisco Ballet, San Francisco Opera. Her recent work includes period and modern looks  for STARZ, HBO, Comedy Channel and major feature films.

COVID COMPLIANT - An ex healthcare professional, Vanessa has been trained in infection control and Health and safety for over 20 years, she is also a certified health & safety officer and Covid compliance officer/supervisor.

Hailing from the UK, Vanessa carries a keen sense of european aesthetics. She has enjoyed a life long practice in art, dance performance & live events, and make up, during which she became a personal make up artist to flamenco teacher Amarita Vargas in London.  She holds a MA in education, taught anatomy at Edinburgh University, specializing  in therapeutic techniques in art and rehabilitation before returning to make up as an art form.

Trained by some of the best artists in the industry such as Oscar winners Michele Burke ( Coppolas Dracula, Mission Impossible)  Tina Earnshaw ( Titanic, Mama Mia) , Aldo Signoretti  (Moulin Rouge),   Alphonse Wiebelt, Camille Friend ,Bill Jones,  Pashur House, & Brierley Thorpe.

Enjoying the successes of union membership, publication, high profile VIP events,  Vanessa now focuses her time in make up design and application for live events, HD content, motion  and print.  She is repeatedly booked by agents and producers, holding excellent references. She is known for her drive for excellence, color sense,  attention to design detail, proactive  research,  crewing up teams to match the clients vision and care of her clients and team.
